After years of hearing how great the cherry blossoms look when they are in full peek, I made the decision this year that I would make it for the event.
4 hours in the car with quiet children... only to get stuck in 2 hrs of traffic in DC looking for a spot. My usual hauting ground was "off limits"..
It was so crowded that if I wanted to pick my camera up to shoot I was afraid I'd elbow someone. The memorials were so full of people I was afraid that I would lose my kids going into the mob !!!
So I decided that 6am would make for better shooting and keeping away from the crowds Boy was I wrong !!! Cherry Blossom Marathon ... Either way It was nice spending time with the kids here are some of the pictures !
If I find some time I will post the actual Tidal Basin to show how crowded it was !!!
